A'Musing Mondays: A little light in a dark time
A gift from The Archives
Howdy, love!
My get-up-and-go straight-up got up and went. Honestly? I expect it’ll do it again next week.
So this year I decided—nope. No Holiday Email Programs.
But this morning I woke up, stretched my surgically enhanced body, and thought,
“Hey, let’s toss a little light out there anyway.”
It may not be the full-on 25 Days of Light program, but I figure the world could use a little extra glow right now.
I’ll post as I can. No pressure, no perfection—just some twinkle lights to perk things up.

Today's gift is the gift of Acceptance.
So often I am fighting against life. I'm always trying to make it better or to change something that I don't like about it or myself. Sometimes the fight is necessary, but not always. More often than not, if I can accept life on its own terms, then I am much happier. I also have a lot more energy to give to myself and others- and I start to see more and more of the little things each day that bring me joy and light.
As we move through this season together, I encourage you to practice acceptance in your life as well as acceptance of these Days of Light. Instead of skimming through the emails, take a couple of minutes to receive what is offered.
Here are a few other Acceptance prompts to support you during this holiday season:
accept that the holidays are going to be different this year
accept that December can be a hectic month
accept that you won't get it all done and don't need to
accept that you deserve to make time to enjoy your gifts
accept that you don't need to create a perfect holiday season
accept that emotions can run high this time of year
The gift of acceptance can bring more joy to your life. I know that sometimes we need a visual reminder and permission to let things be messy. Here you go! Feel free to take a screenshot or download it and put it on your desktop:)
If you need more support for the holiday season, Vol 3 of Better Homes & Boundaries will be available in The Studio and on Gumroad in a couple of days. The focus? Selfcare in the chaos:)
Until tomorrow!
Jenni
